Movement Matters

When we begin looking at a truly healthy and happy lifestyle, you can not underestimate the effects that movement has on mind, body and spirit.  Moving absolutely effects your entire life. Here are few ways that movement matters:

  1. It helps you to maintain a healthy and attractive weight.
  2. It builds strong skeletal systems.
  3. It releases good “feel good” chemicals (endorphins), to improve mood and combat mental illness.
  4. It increases your overall energy levels.
  5. It increases Longevity.
  6. It reduces inflammation. SO Important!
  7. It promotes sleeping well.
  8. It improves circulation in your body.
  9. It helps to lower cholesterol and the risk of high bloodpressure.
  10. It helps your body to cellularly detox.
  11. It creates a sense of strength and self love.
  12. It creates more focused and sharper thinking.
  13. It will make you feel morebeautiful, inside and out.

Movement Matters!

There is not one person that I know, that can argue that exercise and movement do not help to create a real feeling of well being and self care.  It creates a sense of strength and responsibility to oneself to be their absolute best. Your mind and your body are more connected than we often give thought to, on a daily basis.

Going for a run in nature, a hike in the woods, a yoga class in the park, a swim in the lake, a ride on your bike, or a walk on a nature path is incorporating the fresh air, the visceral enjoyment that nature offers, and the connection to our surroundings that I think is invaluable!  If you go to a gym, or have a space in your home, that is wonderful too, but I certainly love to get outdoors, as I find it stimulating on all levels.  There are no bad forms of movement, in my mind, unless you are lifting weights with no formal knowledge (i have worked with many clients with injuries to their muscular system from such actions). Being in nature gives you so many benefits worthy of the short investment you make to get out and breathe the fresh air and connect with the nature all around you.  We are all connected to the natural world, and I find it deeply therapeutic to get outside and disconnect from computers, tvs, and the stagnant energy that can cramp offices, malls, homes, etc.

Movement helps us to be more creative, more dynamic beings.  We get the juices flowing, we feel our body and we know that we are alive and we are living, breathing and creative beings!

Movement makes us more beautiful.  We flow. We have less bloat.  It clears our skin.  It helps us detox the days stress, rather it’s environmental, physical or mental stress, movements helps to let it go. It creates a feeling of well being and we feel good that we did it for ourselves. What could be better?

Create movement into your daily life.  Intend to work out at least 30 minutes to an hour at least 5 days a week.  Stop making excuses and just do it.  The excuses will still be there for you when you are done and are feeling so much stronger and alive in your being!  Attempt to spend that time outdoors if you can. The fresh air alone is worthy.  Mix it up. Try not to get stuck on one activity or exactly that will happen, you will feel stuck.  If you find that you can not commit to a 30 minute to 1 hour regime, consider doing quick movements during your day, several times.  They add up and I promise that you will feel better! You will feel more alive! You will feel more awake and more grateful. It’s amazing what happens when we get our systems moving.  It can build momentum to greater feats in our world.

Clients that I have worked with that have anxiety, for instance, when movement is incorporated, they ground into their body, no longer stuck in their minds and over whelming repetitive thoughts.  It’s powerful medicine and the best thing is that it is free, it is natural and it’s so rewarding! It is my hope that you find peace in your being.  It is my desire to share ways to help you life your most authentic life and you radiate your wellness outwardly, as well as experiencing indwelling peace. Movement is a part of a healthy intuitive life.  Movement matters.

I am

I am an Intuitive Empath. I feel. I know. I can connect. I am not all knowing. I am not above. I am not below. I am a conduit and I love my life, authentically, to create a clean and empty vessel to let the highest energy come through.

I do coaching, I do guidance, and I do healing work. I talk, I write, I do bodywork. I hold space. I am not into labels. I am not one to be placed in a box and I feel like people really love boxes.

I am not solely focused on your eating. I know that if you want to feel your absolute best, diet has to be considered. I am not solely focused on your body. I know that to feel open and free you have to have a healthy body, inside and out. I am not solely focused on your spirit. I know that to feel connected and purposeful you have to honor your spirit. I am not solely focused on your emotions and feelings. I know that you have to be aware of what you are feeling to find your truth and step into your highest good. I am an Integrative Intuitive Wellness Coach/therapist, or whatever words work well to allow for this understanding. We work on it all!

Find the balance in your world. Find the congruent peace and wellbeing that you are looking for. I have been to the extreme left of health, and then to the extreme right, and I can tell you that there is no right or wrong way. I am grateful for my path and my lessons. I used to smoke, I had dysfunctional relationships, I ate bad food. All of those things made me feel bad. I changed. I have ate too clean, stayed away from relationships, didn’t drink or enjoy any fun. That felt too extreme. I then found my truth. I found what felt right, and since then, life has been incredibly rewarding and full of good vibes and experiences. I eat for energy. I move for energy. I have relationships that feed my energy. I have a career that sustains my purpose and energy. We are all learning. We are all growing. We are constantly evolving. My life has become an intuitive path of incredibly beautiful experiences, both bad and good. This is my truth. It may not be yours, but I love what I do, and I love that I get to share. I want to help you learn to live in your most intuitive and authentic way.

Thank you for being here.

Consciousness & Mass Marketing of Pharmaceuticals

It is not too often that I sit on the couch and watch a national television show, however, I was watching on Sunday. I was vexed by a scene that I watched and the thoughts that came into play after watching this commercial. The thought was, it has become normal for people to watch the pharmaceutical companies market their drugs, on national television. It has become normal for people to allow these ads to glisten hope and desire for something good that may come from taking such drugs. I do realize there are certainly drugs that are life altering and absolutely life enhancing, but not ones that offer you hope of having less intestinal gas, or an erection that lasts but shouldn’t last more than 4 hours, or will let you eat all the horrible food you want and keep your perfect body mechanisms from registering the heartburn and gastrointestinal issues that warn you there is a problem, a drug that promises to make life feel better, while you continue to have rage and anger build up inside. As if that is not alarming enough, as I sat and watched 3, in a half an hour period, I was literally laughing at the side effects that these drugs cause and the fact that they actually tell you.  The upsell at the beginning of the commercial was so masterfully played, that these horrible side effects didn’t seem so bad. At least I am left to assume that, since the pharmaceutical companies pay millions of dollars for each advertisement. Most of the drugs that I am speaking of, that are advertised on tv are ridiculously cunning and absolutely undertaking of the perfection of the human body and the natural healing process. Why as a culture, as humans, do we allow for such thinking and such scrupulous undermining of our intelligence and innate healing process?  We have lost touch with nature, with evolution, and with the indwelling voice that I believe would tell you otherwise, if connected.

The population, presently, seems to be searching for the quick fix and if presented, it will be scooped up and gobbled, without a second thought.  We look to a pill to make us happy, to make us thin, to make us gain, to make us have better sex, to make us able to eat greasy fried food with out pain in organs that are screaming for you to stop, to sleep, to take that edge off, to help us off a drug of addiction and then list goes on and on.  I have personally observed people lose their minds from drug combinations, lose their lives from continuing to eat sugar and processed foods when they are on blood sugar meds to continue, lose their lives when they are searching for opiates on the street that their doctor gave them for years but now withholds, from drugs that gave them erections for hours, and they craved to experience more than their beloved wives, and so forth.  To me, I think this is a clear indication of the mass loss of conscious living that has seemed to wash over so many of our lovely people.  I want to stay on point here, but its a great time to bring up, quickly, the drugs that are in our foods, and the people that eat them are craving to eat it.  It is not nutrition, it is marketing for drugs that make people feel momentary satisfaction, only to be left wanting more. The drugs in conventional livestock farming. Drugs are everywhere, more so than ever in our world.  We look to find the quick fix.

The politics of this epidemic is all about money.  The money that comes from keeping people on the medications, from the sickness that continues to line the hospitals and then even more pharmaceuticals get handed out, treating the illness, and the wheelhouse of disease that is so accepted in our culture today.  They do not care about you when they are telling you that they can help you not feel gas, but you have intestinal bleeding, and may have liver failure. They do not care about you when they find that a chemical creates a sugar like substance, but trials and tests show cancer tumors and genetic distortions to babies from mothers injected with such chemicals.  They do not care about you when they tell you that you can not afford your meds anymore when insurance clams down on the prescription writing.  They do not care about you when you kidneys go into dialysis from a med that you used for 5 years to let you eat the foods that were killing your kidneys in the first place.  They care about how and why the next person will choose to take their products.  The pharmaceutical companies actually write and assist in medical school text books.  This is both alarming and unethical, yet it still happens.  The doctor is not always the bad guy.  They may believe they are doing the right thing, as they were taught and do not get me wrong here, as stated above, there are good things that drugs do.  I believe that, too.  But they are not meant to be the healing hub of our species.  It has become a big business and you’re the customer.  They do not care about you.  Im sorry if you think differently. They care about profit.  They are more invested in your sickness and dependency than your independence and wellness.

The consciousness of our culture is on the edge of complete hypnosis. The commercial only emphasized this awareness to me.  Being who I am, living the life I do, working with people I do, and discussing with peers in my field, has created more passion inside me to help shatter the illusion of the lies and the hypnosis happening.  It is my belief that we must get back to ourselves and learn to listen to our body and learn to eat and care for ourselves, intuitively.  Food is medicine.  Rest is medicine.  Nature is medicine. Water is medicine.  Love is medicine.  Meditation is medicine.  No one is talking about that on national TV.  I am 41 years old, I run every day, I meditate, I eat whole foods, I sleep well, I spend time outdoors, I drink water, and I feel so intuitively connected to my body, to my mind and to my being as a whole.  I do not worry when I feel a pain, I honor it and work to find out the source of what is happening.  I do not overdo life, I rest and make conscious choices about what and who I will invest my energy on.  I am compassionate and empathetic to those that are lost in the culture we live in, running so fast there may be no time to even think for a moment about how you actually feel.  You may be so sick that you have lost connection to the indwelling voice that screams to slow down and take care of yourself.  You may really believe that you are doing all you can do too, and that is where I say, the hypnosis is working.  I can not think of a time that I have been alive that it has been more clear that people no longer think for themselves, know how to help themselves organically, and often just look for someone to tell them what to do.  I could go on and on about the relevance of this and living an authentically happy and vital life, but I am really trying to stay focused on the drug industry and what they are doing to our culture.  We need to raise our awareness that we must fix ourselves from inside.  There is no other way!  The drugs are not the way!!! I can tell you that I can offer you advice on ways to heal your life, and that I will charge you X amount of dollars to teach about choices and lifestyle, and you will say “no, I am going to go to the doctor because my insurance will pay for it”.  This is precisely the point that I am making, that we must wake up and see that we are not being cared for by the medical profession the way we used to. Consciousness has to change.  We have to want more from our life than band aids and quick fixes.  We have to see the marketing that is constantly telling us we should be better, we should look better, we should feel better and if we do this or that, we will.  We will feel better when we learn to love ourselves and take care of ourselves, inside and out.  We must choose to invest in ourselves, our bodies, and our minds.  We must.  You buy the best vehicle because you want to be safe, but you don’t invest in premium quality foods and experiences to keep your body safe of disease and premature aging. You need sleep but you stay up watching tv.  You need hydration, but you won’t drink water because you don’t like the taste.   Our consciousness must be reawakened and is my sincere desire to help that happen.

Life is moving fast. Be good to you. Honor yourself and your body.  Know you deserve to feel good, body, mind and spirit. Know that prescriptions are not the answer, long term.  Know that you can change.  Know that you are in control of your life through every single choice, every single action and know that life can and should feel good! Love yourself. Love yourself enough to choose to see the reality of what is happening to our culture. We are being prescribed a truth that is sick, and the greater truth is you do not have to subscribe, or fill the prescription given.  You have control of your life, whether you recognize it or not!  Conscious and critical thinking is invaluable, please hold on to yours.  Dig your self out.  Love yourself and your people enough to show up, whole.

Cherry Apple Relish

I love this tangy side dish.  I use it with any fowl when I eat it, or I add it to roasted vegetables or a topper for a salad!  Honestly, I could and do eat it with a spoon, raw.

Eating for energy and vibrant health means eating whole foods, and learning to add new dishes that you may not have allowed yourself to enjoy.  Whole foods are the key to a healthy and happy life!  I hope you enjoy!

1 cup, cut from pit, red ripe cherries

2 cups diced apple, I prefer granny smith

1/2 cup orange slices

1/2 teaspoon orange zest

3 – 4 teaspoons coconut sugar

3 mint leaves

Place in a food processor and blend.  Let sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.  Delish!
